Phil Parker Ltd are delighted to announce the arrival of their new range of Trumpet Mouthpieces. The experienced staff have collaborated to develop a straight forward range of mouthpieces designed to make selection easy. Picking the best bits from lots of other mouthpieces, the shape, rims, cups, throats and backbores have all been put together to make each piece ideal for its style.
The Range comprises four Trumpet Mouthpieces Symphony, Soloist, Studio & Lead which are complemented by a cornet and flugel mouthpiece. They are all made in Europe to the highest standards and finished in silver plate.
The #66 cornet mouthpiece has an extra deep cup which is perfectly balanced by a throat and backbore designed to give a traditional British brass band sound without compromising range. The rim shape and size matches up to our soloist trumpet mouthpiece making this the ideal complement for the all round player.
Model | Cup Diameter | Cup Volume/Shape | Backbore | Rim Shape | Key Features | Comparison |
Phil Parker 'CT66' Cornet | 16.76mm/0.66" | Deep/XL | Signature cornet backbore providing good compression and projection, perfectly balancing the deep XL cup. | Medium | The Phil Parker cornet mouthpiece is designed to produce the traditional British brass band sound without compromising the high register. The XL cup allows for a dark, warm and sonorous sound in melodic playing. The signature cornet backbore ensures sufficient compression is generated to give a powerful and secure high register so often lacking from traditional cornet mouthpiece designs. The rim diameter is chosen to aid stamina accounting for the cup depth. | Bach 3, GR66#7, Yamaha 14E, Wick 3 |
