Phil Parker Conservatoire 103 - Compensating Double Horn - Screw Bell

The 103D 'Conservatoire' compensating double has been designed to be the perfect upgrade instrument for the modern young horn player. A compensating double is set up with full length valve slides for the Bb horn only. On the F side of the instrument, the sound waves travel through the Bb slides plus smaller slides that add enough length to produce the appropriate pitch for the F horn. This provides a lighter weight instrument and the detachable bell makes it really practical for transporting around.
