Will Hodgson

General manager and trombone specialist. Will began playing the trombone aged 9 and studied under the renowned educator Clifford Jones. Will went on to study trombone at The London College of Music. During this time he began part time work at Phil Parkers and enjoyed the it so much, he chose to make the shop is full time career following graduation. Will plays trombone with a successful function band and enjoys pop and jazz and funky music. Will has now been working at Phil Parker ltd. for more than 20 years and his product knowledge is vast. Always happy to help, with a kind smile and much patience, Will is a valued member of our team.
Tristan Gaudion
Trumpet, ...and Whisky
Tristan is a more recent addition to the Phil Parker team having been with us only 3 years. Prior to joining Phil Parker ltd. Tristan was store manager at Hands music. Tristan is a fine trumpeter and trumpet teacher. He divides his time between his playing/teaching career and his work for Phil Parkers. Already part of the furniture, we hope Tristan will continue to enjoy his time with us and become a long standing member of our team just like Will, Hugh and David.
David Woodhead
Repairs
The most experienced repairer in the business, David has seen it all. He has been fixing and servicing the brass instruments of the great and the good for more than 40 years at Parkers. From simple servicing to complete re builds, custom mouthpiece making and advanced instrument alterations, everything is possible at our in house workshop. David is a trumpeter and achieved some fame as Billy Bragg's trumpet player, touring and appearing on TV shows. David recently re connected with Bill and played some gigs in 2019. David also enjoys Hill walking, early morning open water swimming (every day of the year!), cycling and the Guardian crossword. David doesn't own a mobile phone and is truly one of a kind!
Hugh Fairbairn

Trumpet
Hugh joined Phil Parkers in 1988 having graduated from Cardiff University in 1987. He started playing aged 5 having followed the rest of his family into Basingstoke Silver Band aided by the loan of a Trumpet from then MD Adam Brown. Teachers over the years included Tony Wythe, Malcolm Weale and Andy Cuff. Though Classically trained and with no small amount of freelance playing over the years, nowadays hugh mostly just plays for fun in a couple of local big bands near his home in Kent.
Finn Bradley
Trumpet
Finn is another new addition to the Phil Parker family, and a recent graduate of the Jazz programme at the Guildhall School of Music. As well as having a strong interest in all kinds of jazz and improvised music, Finn plays in a wide variety of bands which perform up and down the country, including ska, rock and thrash brass!
Ed Ashby
Tuba, Sousaphone
Ed is another recent addition to Phil Parker's, having graduated from Trinity Laban and the Royal College of music. Originally from a brass band background, Ed now works in the jazz and pop fields, performing with artists such as the Hackney Colliery Band and Rag 'n' Bone Man.
